Bibliomancy — Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an account?
No. Bibliomancy works fully offline with no account. Signing in is optional and only needed for cloud backup and community features.
How do I back up my library?
Two options: (1) sign in with Google or email for automatic cloud backup, or (2) export your library as JSON/CSV from Settings.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Local data is deleted when you uninstall. Cloud data can be deleted from Settings → Delete Cloud Data. You can also email us for complete account deletion.
What age is required, and why is the app 13+?
Anyone can use the core app. The offline reading tracker needs no account and collects no personal data, so readers of any age can catalog books, log pages, keep streaks, and cast the Oracle. The 13+ requirement applies only to the community and cloud features — leaderboards, reading parties, reviews, shared quotes, and cloud backup/sync — because those create an account and share content with other people. Under children's privacy laws such as COPPA (United States) and the GDPR children's provisions (EU/UK), we choose not to collect personal data from children under 13, so we gate those social features to ages 13 and up rather than collect kids' data. Younger readers can still enjoy the full offline experience; the age check happens on first launch and an under-13 choice is remembered across restarts.
How do reading parties work?
Create or join a party reading the same book. Pick a reading class, complete quests together, and fill the Adventure Bar to complete the adventure.

How do I play?
Host a room and share the join code with friends, join a friend's room with their code, or play a solo round. Answer themed trivia questions and race for points.
What happens to my game data?
Game rooms and answers are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Leaderboard standings persist.
Can I add my own questions?
Yes. Use the "Submit a Question" option in Lore Night to suggest trivia for the community.
